Prenatal Classes

Contrary to popular belief, women’s satisfaction in regards to childbirth does not depend on the alleviation of pain, but rather on the companionship and support she receives.
Prenatal Classes
The transition to parenthood (from the decision to have a child until the child is 2 years old) is punctuated by major physical, psychological, social and sexual changes in couples. It is also a moment of great stress for fathers. This is reflected in the rate of separation in Quebec, which surpasses 50%, with 18% of new parents separating within the first four years following the birth of their first child.

Pregnancy and, particularly, childbirth represents the moment when a couple becomes a family, and begins this transition phase that can sometimes be difficult. So then, why not start off on the right foot? Research shows that quality supportive companionship during childbirth is essential and is one of the most helpful factors for the satisfaction of the mother and the couple. In fact, according to studies, if fathers participate in the preparation of birth in the prenatal stage and in the childbirth itself, chances are they will participate more with the care of the child and the family after childbirth. That being said, a peaceful childbirth, without stress and with the companionship of the father can be a good start to parenthood and help prevent couple crisis.
